When you feel yourself drifting, hesitating or lowering your standard. Stop waiting for the state to improve on its own. It won’t. Passive awareness is not enough. Instead: Change your physiology to shift your state. Sit up. Stand up. Move your body. Breathe with intention. Change your environment if needed. Then take one small, decisive action immediately. Action locks in the new state.
Consequences
friend, if nothing changes, this compounds quietly. Not dramatically. Just enough to keep you slightly off course. Weeks become months. Effort without traction. You’ll still be capable. Still aware. Still frustrated. Not because you lack ability, but because you never took control of the one thing that drives everything.
